ASOT OTD Capstone Project Student Handbook

This manual will provide students, facutly, administration, and partnering agencies with a description of the process and procedures of the ASOT OTD Capstone Project.

ASOT Faculty Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Employment as a full-time ASOT OTD faculty member and hold a terminal degree;
  2. National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy certification and Kentucky OT licensure;
  3. Demonstrated expertise in the area of focus of the OTD student’s project;
  4. Completion of all ASOT forms;
  5. Ensure that the OTD student documents all 560 hours of engagement within the project timelines as outlined within the approved OTD Capstone Project’s goals and objectives.
  6. Provide confirmation of OTD student hours on-and off-site at agency and hours of direct and indirect supervision of OTD student.
  7. Document the student’s progression and performance through the formal and objective midterm and final evaluation mechanism of the OTD Capstone Project.
  8. Ensure completion and dissemination of the student’s OTD Capstone Project that relates to the doctoral capstone experience and demonstrates synthesis of advanced, in-depth knowledge in the area of focus.
