Honors Scholar Program

The Spalding University Honors Scholar Program encourages students who are curious and motivated to learn about the world from a variety of perspectives to participate in academic and social opportunities that will enhance their college journey. Honors Scholars will be stimulated and supported through special courses and extra-curricular activities with the intention of fostering creativity, leadership skills, community engagement, and a life-long love of learning within an environment that values justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Meet Your HSP Team!

Dr. Dorina Miller Parmenter (Dr. P) is the Director of the HSP and a Professor of Religious Studies. She has taught courses in Religious Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies at Spalding since 2008. Dr. P recently moved to rural Henry County, Kentucky, and enjoys gardening, birding, and kayaking. You can contact her at [email protected] or 502-873-4438 or stop by her office to chat in 319 Mansion, at the top of the old wooden staircase.

Kayley Zeno is the graduate assistant for Dr. P and the HSP. She is earning her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in forensics. She recently earned her bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences and Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Work from Northern Arizona University.
