Community Council

Community Council (CoCo) is a student-led programming and governing board that seeks to create engagement opportunities for HSP members to make a difference in the Spalding and Louisville communities and beyond!

Students involved engage in quality programming, advocacy, and leadership development. Students, with the support and advice of director Dr. Parmenter and GA Kayley, create varied and well-planned social, academic, and/or volunteering activities for members to be more involved in the HSP and Spalding communities. Involved students serve as student representatives to the HSP Leadership Team and seek feedback on ways to change and improve the HSP. Students also garner their own leadership development and encourage the development of other HSP members through various skill-building opportunities.

2023-2024 CoCo Leaders

Maša Kopač, Chair: Maša is a junior, majoring in Natural Science, pre-vet. She chose this field because she enjoys science and this area of study brings her closer to her goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Tim Kopač, Chair: Tim is a junior, majoring in Biology, pre-med.

Both Tim and Maša are excited to have a hand in planning events for the HSP and bring a more social element to the environment. So far, they have plans for several types of events including cookie decorating, a ping pong tournament, a financial aid workshop in collaboration with other local organizations, and a picnic!
