Grading and Giving Students Feedback for a Turnitin Assignment

•Click on the link in your course for the Turnitin assignment
•Click on the Options tab
•Use Grademark—select Yes, use Grademark to grade
•Save Changes
•Select the Submission Inbox tab
•In the Grade Column click on the pencil
•Click on Originality to see the originality report
•Click on pencil to grade
•The student’s paper will appear along with options to add comments or commonly used comments
•To add comments highlight the text and click on Comment
•Type the comment and choose a different color if you wish
•Click Save
•If you wish to change and use a different Quickmark set, such as Commonly Used Comments, click on Change Quickmark Set (right next to the Commonly Used option)
When finished commenting type the grade in the out of area on the upper right-hand side

Grademark is a Turnitin tool for grading and adding feedback to a Turnitin assignment.  This Grademark Tutorial  will allow you to test out all the features of using Grademark. Please note grades and feedback entered using Grademark will go into the Moodle Gradebook as well; however, students will need to click on the link for the assignment to see specific files and feedback.  Please see the student helps area of this guide for more information.
