Syllabus Assistant

Syllabus Assistant is a web-based syllabus building tool developed by Spalding IT.  If you are teaching your class for the first time, check with your department to determine if your department has a template already created in Syllabus Assistant.  Syllabus Assistant will publish your syllabus in 3 web-accessible formats which may be read by a screen reader.  The following tutorials illustrate creating syllabi in Syllabus Assistant:

  • Creating First Syllabus- this video illustrates how to create your first syllabus in Syllabus Assistant. NOTE: your department must have a template created in SA for these instructions to be valid.
  • Duplicating a Syllabus- this video illustrates how to duplicate a syllabus previously created in SA so that most of its content will copy into a new syllabus for the same course.
